Ali & Mark | Hopley's Plants, Hertfordshire
10th May 2017

What a pleasure this wedding was to photograph - just my cup of tea! The day was relaxed, with pretty flowers and dresses, good food and lots of laughter. What's more, Ali and Mark are an absolutely lovely couple who deserve a massive pat on the back for managing to plan a very memorable and beautiful English country wedding, despite living in America.
Mark was the Best Man at a wedding I had shot previously (see Katie and Rich's wedding here), so they knew what to expect from me as I spent my time in the background collecting candids throughout the day. After a lovely ceremony at St Mary's Church, Standon, and some enthusiastic confetti throwing, everyone headed to Hopley's Plants for the reception. Hopley's is a fantastic place for a wedding, if you love gardens this is for you! Their marquee looked gorgeous and everyone enjoyed the games on the lawn and the imaginative drinks (Brain Fizz!) before heading inside for the hog roast meal. It was at this point that the weather decided to take a turn for the worst and it absolutely threw it down, which didn't matter one bit with everyone warm, dry and cosy inside the marquee.
The speeches and evening were as the rest of the day had been; relaxed and full of fun. A really beautiful wedding, huge congratulations Ali and Mark! Here's a selection of images from their day x
